The boys had another fun football season with lots of growth and great friendships! Tristan coached Jonah's team again. They finished 9-1. Miles's team struggled a little more but finally got a W in their last game. At the awards banquet, Miles received one of the Bryson McQuivey awards for being a leader on his team. We're so proud of both of them!
With Graham having afternoon kindergarten it has given us some opportunities to do some fun things in the mornings before school. This day he and his friend Jaxon wanted to go to The Hive to jump and race go-karts.
I got to meet up with my cute friend Kaylee. She is one of my favorite people and I'm so glad we've been able to stay in touch over all these years. It was kind of crazy circumstances that caused us to get together this time. Kaylee called me one day asking if I had any tips for where to find a golden retriever and how much she should expect to spend. Well, it just so happened at the time that a friend in our ward had gotten a golden a month or so before but decided to re-home him because they weren't going to have their yard finished like they had thought. SO..... it worked perfectly for Kaylee's family to adopt this sweet boy (who they named Comet)! They were already planning on going to Idaho for Thanksgiving so they decided to bring the motorhome down to Utah and pick up their new dog. Our friends in the ward were getting pretty anxious for him to be out since they weren't able to put him outside without going out with him every time, so we offered to take care of him until Kaylee could get down here. He was the sweetest boy and it was so fun to have a puppy in our house for a while. We were laughing pretty hard one night when Kate was walking around in her big yellow blanket and "hiding" the boys... well Comet figured since they were hiding in the blanket, he wanted to as well. He would just walk over and sit inside the blanket with them. We thought it was pretty cute and hilarious! Graham was pretty sad when it was time for him to go but we reminded him that he still has 2 cute puppies here at our house to play with.
For Thanksgiving dinner, we had my side of the family down to our house. It's always fun to pull out the Snapchat filters for some fun pictures. We also did the cousin gift exchange since we knew we probably wouldn't be together again before Christmas. Then we did a service project and put together 100 hygiene kits for refugees. The kids all pitched in stuffing bags and Marin, Becca and Graham wrote little encouraging notes to put inside each one to help them feel loved. We also loaded up as many people as we could fit into the side-by-side and went on a ride to the park for the boys to play football. It was such a fun day together.
This pic of Miss Savannah just needs a permanent spot on here. She is the sweetest little thing and just too cute for words. And how cute are my little buddies playing the piano with me? Graham has started learning and he is loving it and catching on so quick!
Graham got to have a Thankgiving feast at school for Thanksgiving as well! They talked about manners and how to politely as for or decline food at a dinner.
Somehow we squeezed in a girls weekend to Midway in November. We ate in the globes, got massages ate treats, shopped in their cute little businesses and laid in quiet in our hotel room! It was a dream!
And we also get to celebrate Miles and Tristan's birthdays in November! For Miles's birthday we checked him out of school and took him to In-N-Out for lunch. Then we had family down for a "peanut" themed dinner for our little weirdo. We love this boy so much. He is so funny and smart, such a good brother and just an awesome human. Happy 13 Mr. Miles!
And the best way to end this month is with a little reminder that we love our puppies!! Hi sweet girls!
